Kurban Bayramı (Sacrifice Feast)
Kurban Bayramı is one of the two major Islamic holidays. Animals (usually sheep, goats, or cows) are sacrificed and meat is distributed to family, friends, and the poor. It's a 4-day holiday with family visits and feasting.

- Accept gifts of meat if offered
- Visit family elders during bayram
- Wear nice/new clothes for bayram visits
- Give 'bayramlık' (holiday money) to children if visiting
- Expect businesses to be closed for 3-4 days

- Don't be shocked by public animal sacrifice (it's traditional)
- Don't refuse bayram visits from neighbors/family
- Don't criticize the practice even if you disagree
- Don't expect normal business hours during the holiday
- Don't visit without calling ahead during bayram
